South Australian Outback ANZAC Day Dawn Service

An ANZAC Day Dawn Service never to be forgotten

Imagine yourself experiencing the dawn breaking in the South Australian outback near Farina and being exclusively part of the 2021 ANZAC Day Dawn Service.

As the wind gently blows across the stark and beautiful landscape and a lone crow squawks in the distance this service will be truly outstanding. Take in the emotional stories of young men and women from outback South Australia that gave up everything they knew and loved to serve for their country while you connect better to their lands.

Hear the Last Post echo across the landscape and touch your soul with such power and emotion you’ll never believe the incredible connection to our ANZAC legends.

Teague Tour is offering a very special 5 Day/4 Night tour like no other and is supported by “Farina Station” and the “RSL SA“.

No, there’s not much time before this tour takes place but it will be an incredibly memorable journey and something only a few folk will ever get to experience.

What’s included:

Day 1: Friday 23rd April

Departing Adelaide at 9:00am, we’ll venture to Port Augusta for our first day’s travels. On arrival to the “Gateway to the Outback” we will visit the “Australian Arid lands Botanical Gardens” for an arranged luncheon. Afterwards, but before booking into the plush “Oasis Apartments”, we’ll tour the wonderful “Wadlata Outback Centre”. Dinner this evening will be held at one of the local establishments. (L, D)

Day 2: Saturday 24th April

Our overnight destination is Marree but today’s travels will include a deviation to include some of the eastern side of the Flinders Ranges, then cutting through to the western side via the breath-taking Bunyeroo and Brachina Gorges. The famous “Road Kill” luncheon at the Prairie  Hotel at Parachilna is on our list today. We’ll absorb as many sites as possible on our way to Marree but must consider an early arrival in preparation for tomorrow morning’s early rise for the Dawn Service to be held at Farina. (B,L,D)

Day 3: Sunday 25th April

ANZAC Day Dawn Service awaits us along with an average of 150 locals from previous gatherings at this venue. An early wake-up call might be necessary for our 5:00am departure to travel to the Farina War Memorial for this morning’s service followed by a “Gunfire Breakfast”. On return to Marree there is much we can do…1. Catch-up on sleep? 2. Tour the historic town? 3. Pre-arrange a flight* over “The Marree man”, or further afield to Lake Eyre? 4. Or a mixture of all. It’ll be fun whatever you decide. (B,L,D) *at passengers expense

Day 4: Monday 26th April

The start of our homeward-bound travel begins today but will be just as much fun as our venturing north on the first three days of our tour. There will be a quite a few places of interest to visit today. Hawker is a town worthy of a visitation and will include entrance to the “Jeff Morgan Gallery” and a luncheon close-by. Our accommodation this evening is back at the “Oasis Apartments”, Port Augusta. Dinner at a local establishment. (B,L,D)

Day 5: Tuesday 27th April

Our last day on tour, sadly!!! Departing Port Augusta this morning, we’ll cut back into the Southern Flinders Ranges and travel to the oldest town to be settled in the Flinders Ranges, Melrose, for a morning tea stop. Lunch will be held at a Clare Valley winery and a relaxing way to finish our tour is almost assured!!! ETA into Adelaide at approx. 5:00pm. (B,L)

Hurry, limited seats on their rare and magical experience!

Cost per person twin share is $1,575
Single Supplement being $350

Please note that a donation from Teague Tours will be made to the ANZAC Appeal for each participant
